I've written before about children's ebooks, and I was pleased to find this site: http://www.wegivebooks.org/
It's got a double benefit - not only do I get to read classic children's books online with my daughter, we get to choose a charitable campaign that the publisher will donate a book to for each book we read! Way cool...
Speaking of giving books away, if you're on facebook, considering "liking" Scholastic (http://www.facebook.com/Scholastic#!/Scholastic?v=app_17037175766) - they will donate one book to a child in need for each person who "likes" them...
