For a change of pace, I let my daughter use "her" laptop to read ebooks from time to time. I've got a folder of downloaded ebooks on the desktop, and she's pretty much got those books memorized.
So it's nice to add a few! I've been busy downloading free ebooks from the Children's Books Forever site tonight.
It's even better when the books have audio to go with them, and a little animation helps, too! Kidthing has some Dr. Seuss books available for download through March 31, 2010. Unfortunately, we haven't had much success in getting them to play, but we're still working on it.
Another source is Wizz-E. We actually won a few of their ebooks and are enjoying those, but they also have a couple of freebies.
Any other good kids' ebook sources out there? Moms of bored pink-eyed kids want to know...
Blessed reading,
Jane

Thank you!
Oh yes, there are quite a few other sites around. Have you tried BBC, Clifford, IDCL, Rosetta project, Starfall, Storyplace, Tao Nyeu stories, and Tumblebooks? I have all these on my (now sadly defunct) blog Hello, Net Baby! Try the index to find these posts. Not all of them will have stories in the page turning book format, but they all have stories! Also, I shall soon be restarting blogging on Of mice and keys - same kiddie sites, and will feature some more of these story oriented sites.
A million thanks for the kidthings link - we needed the Horton book!
