Apples Web Spotlight
by Shannon
Autumn is here, and the first things I think about are Apples and Pumpkins - more on pumpkins later, I promise. We did our annual apple picking, and let me tell you: apples you pick taste so much better then store bought! :) We might even have to go back for some more before the first freeze or frost which is coming soon in our neck of the woods.
Our favorite Apple books:
- Amazing Apples by Consie Powell
- Ten Red Apples by Virginia Miller
- The Apple Bird by Brian Wildsmith
Apple Trinity: a neat way to explain the trinity to your younger kids and hey it doesn't use shamrocks!
Apples, Apples, Apples: they are all over the blogosphere! I just have to spotlight a few.
- All About the Journey did some amazing and awesome activities. We might have to revisit apple week just to try out all her great stuff!
- No Time for Flashcards has some great Apple Crafts.
- 2 Teaching Mommies has a whole apple unit for you to try out.
- Growing Up Our Style did some neat Apple math and crafts.
- For the older kids or for some preschool science they can observe, try out Journey to Excellence's Mummified Apple.
~Shannon, aka Gidget and Froggi's Mom, blogs over at Welcome To Our Wonderland, where you'll find lots of book-related activities and book reviews.
