Publisher: Revell
Physical Description: 237-page paperback
List Price: $13.99
ISBN: 978-0800734497
Synopsis:
Because of all the input, you'll find ideas that could apply to your own life regardless of your own personality and your family's dynamics.
I appreciated the Christian emphasis of the book, from getting to know yourself, establishing your support circle, and keeping God number one in your own life as well as in your parenting goals and methods.
And I think all moms could benefit from the supportive ideas found in this book. So often mothering seems a lonely job, and it's very clear from this book that it is NOT!
What I Didn't Like: The book itself was great! I was expecting something a little different, though, from the subtitle - more tips on shaping the child rather than tips on changing/focusing on myself as a mom... I did feel a little short-changed on parenting ideas, though I appreciated the point that to be a better mom, I need to address my own issues first!
Thanks to Baker Publishing Group for the review copy of this book.

Synopsis:
Your go-to book for successful mothering.About the Author:
Mothering is part art, part science, and always a work in progress! Backed by more than thirty years of research-based ministry at MOPS International, Momology is designed to help you be the unique mother God created you to be--because better moms make a better world.
Shelly Radic is Chief of Staff at MOPS International, author of The Birthday Book, and a regular contributor to MOPS publications. Her writing is informed by her education, mothering her four children, and twenty years of MOPS experience. She lives in Colorado. What I Liked: This book is well-organized, with a great graphic design that makes it easy to read through and spot highlights and ideas. It's well researched, with input from hundreds of moms. With lots of examples and practical suggestions, it is easy to read through, though you'll want to take your time to internalize and implement all the great ideas.
Because of all the input, you'll find ideas that could apply to your own life regardless of your own personality and your family's dynamics.
