by Shannon
Supplies:
- 2 cups salt
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup cold water
To Make:
- Combine the 2 cups salt and 1 cup water in saucepan, bring to a low boil and stir for 5 minutes, Remove from heat
- Combine 1 cup cornstarch and 1/2 cup water in a bowl and blend till smooth
- Add cornstarch mixture to salt and blend till smooth, cook for addition 2 - 3 mins.
- Allow to cool slightly, then knead till smooth
- Have kids sculpt and birds nest. (with leftover clay they can sculpt bird or roll out and use cookie cutters)
- Place outside in the sun till dry
Then you can paint and decorate ( my youngest didn't want to decorate hers so it's just the color of the clay after the sun dried it)
