Synopsis:
When Rachel Balducci looks for material for her writing, she doesn't have to look far. Her subject matter can be found climbing through the window, hanging on to the edge of the roof, and rummaging through the refrigerator. Here she chronicles the exuberant, awesome life of boys through bizarre conversations overheard, unbelievable rules she's been forced to make, and the many episodes of boy behavior that continue to mystify mothers worldwide. From the care and feeding of her team, to travels out in public, to their wide-eyed adoration of Chuck Norris, this laugh-out-loud celebration joyfully explores the sweetly wild side of boyhood.
About the Author:
Rachel Balducci is a writer and the mother of five lively boys. Her website, http://www.testosterhome.net/, has been nominated for several awards. Rachel is a former staff writer for the Augusta Chronicle and has been published in numerous magazines, including Good Housekeeping, Faith and Family, and The Word Among Us.
And Rachel is new mom to little Isabel!  It'll be fun to see how this precious baby sister impacts her beautiful family...

What I Liked:

This was just an overall fun book!  I happen to be a mommy-blog-lover, and I felt a little like I was catching up on a mom's blog - a really well-written blog full of stories and ancedotes that made me ever so grateful for my sweet little (albeit controlling) 3yo pony-princess who's quite happy to play with play dough and pick daisies and watch Dora

Ancedotes like this one:
"When I go to college," declared Elliott, "I won't only study about sports.  I'm also going to spend some time studying dynamite."
Or:
A boy's life in a three-word chapter:  "I'm bleeding again."
Or:
Boy at dinner:  "Wow, this is actually pretty good.  I guess I won't throw up after all."
Full of love and laughter, this is a great tribute to boys and the joy they bring to families everywhere.

What I Didn't Like:

Nothing.  Seriously.  If you're looking for an organized, step-by-step guide for parenting boys, this isn't it.  But if you just want to share the love found in a houseful of boys and find inspiration for seeing the humor in little things (which is a survival manual in itself), this book's for you.

Thanks to Baker Publishing Group for the review copy of this book.
